Motes & Watkins Team Roping DVD

There probably have been few team roping teams that have left their mark on the rodeo world like the team of Motes and Watkins. Between these two roping professionals they have qualified for the NFR nearly twenty times. Together, they have won over a half million dollars in prize money.

Dennis Watkins has qualified every year in the NFR finals since 1974. He is considered one of the most consistent team ropers in the country. David Motes has qualifed since 1973. He was World Champion Team Roper in 1977. This team also won the NFR average in 1981, setting an arena record, and again in 1984.

David and Dennis start with the basics. Each professional demonstrates the heading and the heeling techniques in team roping. The video continues into chute and roping procedures. Finally, they review several rodeo and practice roping runs.
